The idea
When many traders are on the same side with leverage, forced closes can push the price further along. Barracuda reads this from open interest and from who is buying and selling at market, then trades toward where those liquidations sit.
- 1.Enters as pressure builds on a crowded side
- 2.Takes profit as forced closes carry the price

When it does well and badly
Good fit
- Volatile markets with plenty of leverage
- Sudden squeezes and flushes
Poor fit
- Quiet markets with little leverage in play
- Sharp reversals with no follow-through
In your dashboard
Barracuda uses the widest set of coins, so expect to meet names you do not know on Positions. The list follows trading volume and changes by itself each month.
Other strategies
- Day Trading Marlin, Barracuda and Hagfish on one wallet. Three different sources of trades, sharing one balance and one leverage limit.
- Marlin Buys a sharp dip in a rising, liquid coin and sells the bounce. It wins often and takes small profits.
- Hagfish Shorts an established alt at the exhausted top of its run, and only while the alt market as a whole is not in a bull.
- Manta Follows the large BTC trend on the daily chart, long and short, with little activity and moderate leverage.
- Spot accumulation Buys the assets you choose in steps through a market bottom and holds them. No leverage and no shorts.
