Positions
The live desk. Everything open on your account, every resting order, every closed trade, and the switch that restricts trading.
- Positions
- What is open now, with entry, size, open PnL and the distance to liquidation.
- Orders
- Resting orders, such as a ladder waiting for a setup or a take-profit.
- Trade History
- Closed trades, with their result net of fees and the reason for the close.
- Equity
- The account's balance over the period you pick.
Open a position's chart from its row to see the entry, the stop and the target. Choose visible columns with Columns, or right-click a header. You can also share any closed trade as a PnL card.
Each row has its own controls on Trader and above: Close exits that position at market, and the menu beside it can protect the trade with a stop just past its entry. On Orders, you can cancel a resting order.
Why a trade closed
Every closed trade carries a reason:
| Reason | What happened |
|---|---|
| Took profit | The target was reached |
| Stopped out | The stop-loss was hit |
| Protected profit | A stop just past entry closed it with a small gain |
| Edge gone | The reason for the trade no longer holds |
| Setup flipped | The market turned, and the strategy turned with it |
| Closed manually | You closed it |
| Liquidated | The exchange closed it for lack of margin |
The assistant can explain any of them in more detail.
Restrict how an account trades
The mode switch sets what an account may do, for as long as you choose: 1 hour, 4 hours, until tomorrow, or with no end.
| Mode | New trades | Open positions |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | Open as usual | Run as usual |
| Protect profits | Open as usual | A stop goes on just past entry, once a trade is far enough ahead to cover its exit costs |
| Pause new trades | None | Run until they close by themselves |
| Pause and protect | None | A stop goes on just past entry on trades far enough ahead |
| One side only | Long only or short only | The other side is left alone |
Act at once
These two run once, right now, and ask you to confirm first:
- Cut losses now closes every losing position at market. Trades in profit stay open with a protective stop just past entry, once they are far enough ahead.
- Close everything now closes every open position at market, whatever it is worth, and opens nothing new. You end up fully in cash.
