Connect Hyperliquid to Tarvis
Create a trade-only key on Hyperliquid and add it to Tarvis. It takes a few minutes, and the key can never withdraw.
On this page
- Wallet Address
- Your funded Hyperliquid account. Public, starts with 0x. Safe to share.
- API Wallet Private Key
- The trade-only key you create below. It can place and cancel orders, never withdraw.
-
Open the API page
On Hyperliquid, go to More → API.
-
Name it and click Generate
Type a name such as
my_tarvis_keyand click Generate. Hyperliquid fills in a fresh agent wallet address. -
Click Authorize API Wallet
It opens a confirmation window.
-
Choose the term and authorize
Tap MAX for the validity so you do not have to redo this soon. Before you click Authorize, copy the Private Key. Hyperliquid will not show it again.
-
Open Accounts and click Connect account
Make sure the switch in the top bar is set to Live. Type a name such as "main" and pick Hyperliquid.
-
Paste your two values
Wallet Address is your Hyperliquid account address, the same one you deposited to. API Wallet Private Key is the key you just copied.
-
Click Connect
Tarvis checks the key with Hyperliquid before it stores it, and encrypts it at rest.
Start trading
Your account now appears on Accounts. Pick a trading style, look over the risk settings and press Start.
If Tarvis refuses the key
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Looks like your main wallet key | You pasted the wallet's own key | Create an agent key on More → API |
| Not authorized yet | The key was generated but not authorized | Click Authorize API Wallet on Hyperliquid |
| Authorized for a different account | The address and the key do not match | Enter the address of the account you authorized it on |
| Not a private key | The format is wrong | Paste 0x followed by 64 hex characters |
When the key expires
An agent key lasts as long as you chose when you authorized it. As the end nears, your account shows key expires in N days on the Accounts page. Create a new key the same way and use Reconnect. Stop the account first: changing a connection while it trades can disrupt live orders.
